As you know I love to upcycle and transform an old piece into something new. I absolutely love when a forgotten piece is made into something beautiful again.
I have compiled this list of fantastic transformations, which are so gorgeous I simply had to share them with you.
I have done several pieces and my absolute favourite is the lace painting technique, so far I have done two pieces using this technique. Head over to see the transformation and tutorial on how I did this here.
I then did a piece for the Fab Flippin’ Furniture Contest and created this beauty!
Or how about this beauty?
I found this stunning fold down desk transformation on Start at Home blog.
How amazing in this by Pamela from From My Front Porch to Yours?
I love this bold colour and the transformation I saw on DIY on the cheap.
No post would be complete with at least one of Miss Mustard Seed’s transformed pieces of furniture. I love this hand painted dresser and really want to try something like this myself
I absolutely LOVE this bench, it is so creative and is simply stunning..Christy from Confessions of a Serial DIYer is simply amazing.
And how about this chair makeover?
I also attempted some upholstery on this chair project and I love how it turned out.
This one is a beauty and you can find it on From My Front Porch to Yours.
Have you ever attempted to paint upholstery? Did you actually know it is possible? Look at this amazing transformation I found on Delusions of Ingenuity
And Jeanette from Snazzy Little Things definitely made a massive transformation when she painted this old leather chair.
Painting isn’t the only technique to use when you want to update an old piece, how about decoupage? You can use anything – napkins, wallpaper, wrapping paper and even fabric!
This was done by using a wallpaper and I found it on Two Story Cottage.
Or this transformation using fabric.
I used some wallpaper on my bookcase, which you can see here.
This beautiful transformation can be seen on Postcards from the Ridge
