When I get asked to make a present for someone I always get super excited! Especially when it is for such a special occasion as a wedding. I loved the idea of scrabble art as I have seen so many lovely projects. The wedding scrabble frame seemed to be a perfect gift idea for this occasion!
I started by cutting the backing and glueing it to the back of the frame.
I then simply added some beautiful lace using some mod podge. As the paper was sparkly I decided to sprinkle some gold glitter over lace too.
Then came the fun and also the hardest part.. You wouldn’t think that, but the little scrabble squares were so hard to align so that they were level!!! Thankfully E6000 glue is pretty forgiving I could move the squares around to fix them correctly in place.
To add some more glam and sparkle I added some pearl hearts and crystals on the frame.
Then all was left to do is assemble the frame.
Then the gorgeous wedding gift was made for the happy couple!
Congratulation on your wedding day Alexandra and Marcus!
Looks great! Do you mind me asking where you got the scrabble pieces, please?
Thank you Claire. I bought them on ebay but I am sure you can get them in the craft shops too 🙂
This is very lovely, Evija! It’s always a pleasure co-hosting another week of #OMHGWW with you! Have a fabulous week!
Oh how I love Scrabble and all things wordy! (A bit ironic, given the title of this link party haha!) Thanks for sharing this fun gift idea; great to co-host with you at #OMHGWW 🙂
