Hi everyone this is the LAST day of my 12 Days of Christmas Challenge I hope you enjoyed my other 11 projects. If you missed any of them, you can view them all at the bottom of this post. Now…. day 12… I thought long and hard about what would be the best project to finish this challenge off with… I decided to do an Advent Calendar with a little twist…
I have really enjoyed this challenge, I must say doing 12 projects in 12 days is not as easy as I thought, but I am so glad I did it and I hope you ENJOYED them!!
Now…. day 12… I thought long and hard about what would be the best project to finish this challenge off with… I decided to do an Advent Calendar with a little twist…
I decided to make an adult themed Advent Calendar for my husband Shaun. I chose different things and little presents that I wrapped and put on each day, so he has a little surprise in the run up to the Christmas.
When I was printing out and looking for the Christmas jokes.. I was laughing to myself, such silly things but definitely brightened up my day!!!
You can of course personalise it as you wish!! Each day had a little something and the present for Christmas day was not a present at all but a card with a little reminder of the true meaning of Christmas..
I created the calendar using some leftover pallet wood and turned them into a Christmas Tree (sorry for the bad quality image, I was too busy trying to get it right!). I painted the tree using some green and brown paint I had at home.
Here are just a few of the ideas on what you could put in your calendar…
– miniature aftershave
– scratch cards;
– free pass to do the dishes;
– 5£ note
– quote about love (to remind him how lucky he is to have me! 🙂 )
– chocolate
– miniature alcohol bottle
– toiletries
– beauty products for men
– pouch with pound coins – enjoy Snooker
– socks
– funny boxer shorts
– TV for the day (I am sure I will regret this one!)
– Kiss me sweets
– miniature sudoku
– Jokes
– Did I say chocolate already? 😀
I got these lovely advent calendar numbers here and glued them on the wood, then simply put a little nail for each date, so I could tie the presents on.
YES I know it is a lot cheaper to actually buy one, but this type of Advent calendar is ONE OF A KIND! And I hope this shows my hubby how special he is to me 🙂
What do you think?
On the…. Day of Christmas Evija made….. ADULT ADVENT CALENDAR!!!!
