I always get so excited about people getting engaged, and it is even more exciting if it is someone special to you. My friend’s daughter got engaged and as always I wanted to make something a little special to celebrate the enagement..
I remember how excited I was for my wedding that I was counting down the days until our big day even when it was 421 days to go it was still nice to know the day after that it was only 420 to go.. and when it was in single figures, the excitement was coming out of my ears! 😀
I thought this countdown sign was the perfect gift for the beautiful bride.
I made it from mdf board and painted it using some home-made chalk paint in white and Frenchic in Mother Duck. The letters were hand painted using black acrylic paint.
The heart was made out of mdf board and I painted it using chalkboard paint. For instructions on how to do this, see my post about the chalkboard I made here.
I then simply added some embellishments and stapled white ribbon at the back so this sign could also be hung on the wall.
