Easter is not far away, so I decided to make an easy Easter hanging sign. You may remember I created some cute little pom pom bunnies for my Easter project last year, so you know I do love a pom pom or two.. Since then I have purchased a pom pom making tool so it is actually a lot easier and quicker to make them now.. Anyway… here is what I did..
When I was thinking about Easter projects I had several ideas in my mind. I really wanted to make a bunny out of pallets but the weather has been so bad I haven’t been able to go outside and cut the wood. Sooo.. I had to come up with an easier (indoor) project this time!
I had this little plaque, which I painted in cream paint. I knew I would use it for something but was not entirely sure what. I decided to make a little Easter Bunny sign. I traced a shape of a bunny on a burlap fabric and cut it out.
I then pasted some mod podge and stuck the bunny, I went over with mod podge and sealed it. I cut some lovely lace ribbon and attached to the sides using mod podge.
When everything was drying I made a little pom pom that I would use as a tail for the bunny. My chief pom pom maker Coco was there to ensure everything went smoothly!
I made this cute little bow for the bunny from a beautiful ribbon my sister sent me from Latvia. Thank you Kristine!
Once mod podge had dried, I glued the ribbon and the pom pom tail using a hot glue gun, put some twine and the sign was done! Here is my DIY Easter Bunny Sign! What do you think?
