I absolutely love the idea of using a stencil to do some artwork whether it is on fabric, wall or furniture. I have seen so many beautiful posts on stencilling I decided to do a little post about the stencils to get inspired.
I was lucky enough to receive some beautiful stencils from The Stencil Warehouse in the UK and Designer Stencils in USA and have been looking on various websites and pinterest posts for some inspiration.
There are thousands of beautiful projects but these are my absolute favourites!
I absolutely love what Ashley from Domestic Imperfection has done with her projects using stencils. She has proved that the stencils can be used on absolutely all sorts of surfaces, even a concrete floor! You can read the detailed tutorial here
Using stencil for a wall is another great way to create a nice feature without using wallpaper.
I found this fabulous transformation on All Things Heart and Home which is a perfect example of using stencil instead of covering hte wall in wallpaper.
This is a very lovely tutorial on Like Mother Like Daughter blog about how to do an all over wall stencil and found it very helpful, especially the tips of what not to do!

You can also add a feature using a stencil, I thought this was a very clever and beautiful idea which I found here.
As I love painting and upcycling furniture I have been looking at various projects involving stencils on a piece of furniture.
Here are some of my favourite projects.
I absolutely love this piece by Ashley from Domestic Imperfection and from all of her stencil projects, this Paisley stenciled table must be my favourite. I think the colours are so beautiful and it works lovely with the dark wood and paisley stencil design.
I adore this dresser makeover by My Passion for Decor – absolutely beautiful and so unique.
Stenciled plant stands I found on Upcycled Treasures are so beautiful and shows how something outdated can be turned into something so pretty!
I absolutely adore this table done by Desiree from 36th Avenue. Such a simple design but so effective.
