To reply to the comment: yes and no … it took a lot of prep work to get to the final result and although the stairs were decent enough underneath it still took a bit of fixing.. from stripping the paint, repairing the gaps, cleaning and sanding.. to priming and painting.. what do you think was it worth it ?

I came to the Isle of Man in 2004 for the summer . I came to the Isle of Man in 2004 for the summer .. I met Shaun pretty much straight away and the rest is history ☺️.. I dropped out of uni, packed my bags and got my dad to pay for my tickets to move to the Isle of Man .. I literally had no money in the account, no job or a plan but I knew I had to trust my gut and go… We were so excited when we finally moved into our first apartment.. It was one bedroom basement apartment which was dark, cold and damp, we had no furniture, cutlery or bedding but we were so happy as it meant it was our own space ..
From our first apartment in 2005 when we had nothing to out dream home in 2026 that we worked so hard for .. sometimes even when you don’t have a plan beautiful things can happen … ❤️ trust the process ..

Renovating and building extension at the same time Renovating and building extension at the same time meant we had to finish jobs quickly and often without really having much time to decide on colour schemes or details.. we had to paint the extension quickly so I opted for neutral shade .. I knew it was missing something so I added a bit of colour with my artwork.. which I loved but something just didn’t sit right with me.. it was too much and I was craving peace and not overwhelm.. I ended up removing all artwork and starting again pay painting the room a beautiful shade of pinky red which absolutely transformed the space … it’s ok to change your mind and it’s ok to paint or experiment until it works for you.. we’ve lived in this house for 4 years now and we are working out how to each space works for us .. now we’ve changed the layout of the table I feel like this space could also take a bigger cabinet for extra storage … so watch this space it’s forever evolving..
please tell me I’m not alone in this 🙏🏼
