As the days begin to shorten and summer starts to soften, August always feels like a gentle invitation to reset. It’s the perfect time to embrace slower mornings, refresh everyday routines and make small, thoughtful choices that support both our wellbeing and the world around us. This month’s favourites celebrate beautiful design, conscious living and products that bring a little more intention into daily life. Don’t forget to check out the July picks by visiting this link.

Laundry
Laundry is one of those everyday tasks where a small change can make a real difference. Do you know how many chemicals and unnecessaary toxins your everyday washing powder contains? The Ecoegg Laundry Egg offers a simple alternative to traditional laundry detergent or powder, using mineral pellets to clean clothes without the need for single-use plastic detergent bottles. It is reusable, easy to use and designed to help make laundry a little more convenient while reducing waste. Pellets are non-toxic and do not contain any harsh chemicals, petrochemicals, enzymes, optical brighteners or phosphates. I can also confirm it smells absolutely beautiful!

Beauty
My absolute favourite refillable deodorant is FUSSY, you can choose your own case and scent. Fussy combines thoughtful design with effective everyday care. The reusable case is beautifully designed, while the compostable refills help reduce unnecessary plastic waste. The scents are not overpowering and there are plenty to choose from. I absolutely love Lavender fields and Shaun’s favourite is Wilderness scent.

Simple rituals often have the biggest impact, and washing our hands is something we do countless times each day. Fill Refill Co. has created a beautifully minimalist hand wash that looks elegant on the sink while helping reduce plastic waste through its refill system. Made in Northamptonshire using biodegradable ingredients, it’s definitely something I have added on my list of things to try.

I came across this brand and product recently whilst scrolling (thank you Universe!) as I absolutely love discovering new amazing products and brands, that champion wellbeing, self-care and more conscious, non-toxic choices expecially for women. I think most women, myself included, can relate to Ellie’s story of burnout and how easy it is to put yourself last when life gets busy and there always seems to be so much to juggle. This is one of the reasons why I started the series which also allows me to share some amazing brands and small businesses with you. I absolutely cannot wait to try this Seville Sun Bath & Shower Oil, when it is back in stock. It sounds absolutely amazing!

Cleaning Products
Cleaning products aren’t usually something we get excited about, but Seep proves that even the smallest household items can make a meaningful difference. Their plastic-free sponge scourers are made using renewable materials and perform just as well as conventional alternatives. It’s an easy swap that supports a cleaner kitchen while reducing unnecessary plastic in the home.

Calmer Mind
Creating a calmer home isn’t always about buying more – it can be as simple as making time to pause. Clipper’s commitment to organic ingredients and ethical sourcing makes this feel like a thoughtful choice for both personal wellbeing and conscious living. A cup of organic sleep tea has become one of my favourite evening rituals, encouraging a slower pace at the end of a busy day. I love getting a hot shower, making myself a “sleepy tea” and jumping in bed to watch a movie or TV series.

As always, sustainable living isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It is about making small, meaningful choices that fit naturally into everyday life. Whether you are refreshing your kitchen, embracing a slower evening routine or discovering a new favourite brand, I hope this month’s picks inspire you to create a home that feels both beautiful and mindful.
