By now you have probably read my post on the amazing day my husband and I had at the Handmade Fair. I thought it would be great to also show you on a separate post the things I purchased at the Handmade Fair!! It was honestly heaven on earth for anyone who enjoys crafts and handmade items…
When I first looked around the East and West shopping villages I saw so many things I wanted to purchase, so many beautiful handmade items I just wanted to get everything!! BUT I had to calm myself down and only buy things I would really use as we travelled from the Isle of Man, we had one suitcase and after a day shopping in Kingston it was already nearly full!
My first purchase was these gorgeous cutouts from Artcuts . They had such a large variety of things on sale and I only got 3 bags of cutout ornaments, which I will share with my mum, who is also a keen crafter. I also entered a comp so fingers crossed!!
I then ventured to the Nicolette Tabram stand, and really struggled to pick only one stencil as I am slightly obsessed with stencils and as they were all so gorgeous, I wanted to try them all!!! I also spotted this brilliant stencil brush and ended up choosing this Cordoba stencil for one of my upcoming projects.
After our Grand Make class with Carol Sykes from Folk It, I literally run to find their stand as I was hooked (and so was Shaun!!). It was actually so therapeutic and I thought learning the next step (brush technique) would come in handy for me when I do some furniture upcycling.. So I ended up buying THREE kits!! 🙂 One of them is for my mum as she loves to try new crafting techniques.. I will be posting it over to her soon and no doubt will be arranging a Skype session with her soon!
I really loved the Really Homemade tent and their items and I got some lovely smelling home spray from the lovely ladies. I love this gorgeous “Spiced Apple” autumn scent!
I love fabrics and actually shop at Millshop online for my fabrics already, I was so happy when I saw their fabrics were on sale for £3 per metre! Bargain I thought!!! I saw one that caught my eye but ended up leaving with 3 different fabrics, that poor Shaun had to carry around for me!
This was not quite a purchase, but a cheeky ‘freebie‘ Shaun got for me, but I absolutely love my Annie Sloan apron, which I will be using very often no doubt! Read how Shaun got it for me here.
I loved a vintage stand and rummaged through a box of some lace and purchased these gorgeous lace ribbons!
Spoonflower was giving away samples of some fabrics, so of course I jumped at a chance to get some ‘freebies‘
Technically these acrylic paints and the sponges I purchased after the Handmade Fair in an Art shop in Kingston called Cass Art, but I thought I would share them with you anyway. Cannot wait to try them out. They were also a bargain – £29.99 down from £49.99!!
Can’t wait to actually try all my goodies out! Watch this space!
