Building regs have finally been approved and as it’s TT week 🏍 and Shaun is off he’s spent the day stripping the site.. we have a few things on this summer (3 weddings, holiday plus two big birthdays) so we can’t get too carried away … but ITS happening !!! 🏡

Bathroom wasn’t on the list to do first but thin Bathroom wasn’t on the list to do first but things happened and we ended up knocking a few walls down, completely re-designing the bathroom and changing the layout.. I must say this bathroom is actually better than the original one we had designed … tiler is coming in next week with the plumber in straight after .. 2 weeks and hopefully we can move back in and have a completely renovated bathroom - dream bath and all 🛁 [probably minus the doors as I still need to strip those] .. sanding and sealing the beam and sorting out the vanity this weekend !! We are lucky to have 3 beautiful trees in our gard We are lucky to have 3 beautiful trees in our garden - 2 pine trees and 1 Turkey (I think) oak.. they are absolutely beautiful but as they’ve been left for years without any treatment or maintenance, they have overgrown and holly is suffocating the beautiful oak so they are in desperate need of some TLC .. they are not coming down they are just having a little “haircut” today to help them grow healthier ! Yellow bedroom number one .. this room might be ou Yellow bedroom number one .. this room might be our master bedroom or might not be 🤷🏻‍♀️ we haven’t decided yet .. we are hoping to extend and build a dormer to make the most of this space .. the stone wall near the door sadly must stay as it’s a supporting wall and instead will have an opening to a walk in wardrobe (old toilet) .. that’s if planning gets approved and all goes to plan .. send positive vibes please .. 🙏🏼 now shall we keep the bright yellow walls 🤔

Spent the weekend ripping the Lino tiles in the to Spent the weekend ripping the Lino tiles in the toilet .. our plans are to build a dormer and close up the door to the toilet and airing cupboard, and create one space and use it as a small walk in wardrobe which will be  connected to the bedroom next door .. we then want to place a door to the bathroom where the old radiator is .. planning officer is coming round next week to discuss this as he’s not 100% convinced about our plans 😭 fingers crossed as I’ve already ordered the tiles 🤣 🤞🏼 
Also how did anyone live with this radiator? I may have to take it off the grid as it’s giving me heart palpitations 😂 #notlevel

Fireplace number two has left the building and is Fireplace number two has left the building and is slowly making space for a log burner! 👏🏼 both fireplaces were so chunky and heavy it took us a while to smash them up .. I’m keeping a piece of each fireplace and will be making something to remember the history of this house … 🏠 how was your weekend ?
