You may remember last year I did a post – Readers’ Choice Top 14 most popular posts for 2015 . I decided to keep up with the tradition and do the same this year! This year I am sharing with you my TOP 15 most popular posts of the year! I have done quite a few posts this year, but surprisingly there are a few projects that have been popular from my first year of blogging too.
Which was your favourite post from 2016?
15. Bolster Pillow Tutorial
I will start kicking off the Top 15 with my bolster pillow tutorial. This was more like trial an error as I was making it for the first time myself! It turned out lovely though!
14. Compass Table
It appears that the people are still loving my compass table I did for the Fab Furniture Flippin Contest in September last year! It came THIRD in the December 2015 Favourites– AND it was featured in Reloved Magazine January 2016 issue as well as on Hometalk and General Finishes websites.
13. Red Robin Candle Holder
I absolutely loved making this candle holder and I am so happy my readers loved it as much as I did!
12. Craft Room
No 12. on the list is not a project but simply a post I did when I was trying to come up with some ideas for my craft room! I am glad you enjoyed it!
11. Coffee Table
I did this gorgeous little table using a stencil and it proved very popular, perhaps as it was also a giveaway and there were quite a few entries!!
10. French Style Seat
This is definitely MY absolute favourite project from last year!!! I entered this French Style Seat in March Fab Furniture Flippin’ Contest and WON!!!! This is a great example on how trash can be turned into treasure!
9. Christening Present
I am so happy people are loving this project as this was created especially for our beautiful god son Oscar for his christening day.
8. Vintage Rose set
This post is from 2015 and still a firm favourite amongst my readers. This beauty has been featured in Reloved magazine too!
7. How to do a Raised Stencil
I absolutely loved doing this raised stencil on a piece of furniture. I have seen a couple of lovely projects before and this TV cabinet was perfect for that added extra detail! I had never tried it before, but I am hoping that by being in Top 10 my readers did find my tutorial useful!
6. DIY Lace Painted Drawers
This project was so much fun to do and taught me a new technique! My readers seemed to have enjoyed it too for two years now!
5. Rice Ornament
I made this beauty last year for my 12 days of Christmas challenge! Some may say it is stupid, naff or ugly but I like to push the boundaries a little and come up with some new ideas! It is in the Top 5 so people must be intrigued by it!! … and YES I did use RICE!
4. Christmas Wreath
Another popular post from last year’s 12 Days of Christmas Challenge! So sparkly, no wonder people are loving it!
3. Q Tip Holder
I still got this q tip holder on my dressing table. I am not surprised it is popular as it is such an easy project to do and transforms and old candle jar into this gorgeous piece!!
2. Gold Vases
These are still super popular and it was my most popular project for 2015. This year it is the runner up.. I am over the moon as it has been featured on Hometalk and has had over 799,000!!!!!! that’s HUGE!! It was also featured on Good Housekeeping and House Beautiful websites! Who would have thought spray paint and rubber bands would end up being so popular for 2 years running!?
1. Gold Desk Organiser
And the winner this year is…….. MY DIY GOLD DESK ORGANISER!!!!! I always say everything looks much better in gold and it definitely does! Seems you also agree with me as my top 2 projects are both gold!! In comparison to the gold vase project, this desk organiser raked in 4x more views than the No.2 above! Bear in mind, I only posted the tutorial n October this year so – in 2 months it beat every single post on the blog! That’s crazy isn’t it??

Congrats Evijah! Those are all wonderful projects. I think I saw most of them, & loved all the popular ones. Haven’t seen the vase & rubber bands though. Have to go check that one out. Very clever.
